People's Choice Awards
Wow what a start to 2019 folks! I had been completely taken a-back to be nominated and included as a finalists for People's choice awards (Best Bush Ballard and Best Male vocal), so much so, we decided to make an appearance and travelled 1050kms with fellow band members John Batley & Chris Buenen to attend this tremendous event and also play a few showcases while in Tamworth.
We kicked off our Tamworth adventure with a show at the big Golden Guitar for Key 2 Artists Champagne Country CD launch. We then went onto to play at West Diggers lounge for a Hillbilly Hut showcase and afterwards at the Imperial Hotel. We rounded off our week with an appearance at the Rural Aide Tent on Peel Street and the Moonshiners Bar, but the highlight was the People's Choice Awards where we came away winning Best Male Vocal.
I met some incredibly nice people during the week and I'd like to humbly thank all who voted for me for this award, your support means the world and helps us do what we do, in promoting the outback culture I love so much.
We have hit the ground running since returning home, to the news of the disastrous floods back in my heartland of North West Queensland and currently trying to put together a heart felt fundraising concert for those effected by the floods.
