Tony Cook is a defence force veteran with a passion for the great Australian outback, good people & great music

 

His music & live shows consist of original upbeat & meaningful material as well as covers of classic & modern country with some laidback mainstream pop & rock thrown into the mix for a rounded listening experience.

Tone’s latest single “Just be Happy” is a song written about the most important thing to find in life, “Happiness” & it has resonated with over a quarter of a million people so far, being streamed 300,000 times on Spotify across the world. People have also looked up the accompanying music video which has received 5000 views on YouTube.

A Tamworth’s People’s choice award winner for best male vocal in 2019, Tony has worked closely with Aria & Golden Guitar winner Shane Nicholson, during the last few years producing some more upbeat & catchy tunes, all of which can be found on all streaming platforms.

Since releasing his first album “Laidback Country” in 2017 and having a national #1 hit with “That’s Country”, Tone has been incredibly lucky to have shared the stage with some high profile & talented artists & bands over the years, namely Troy Cassar-Daley, Russel Morris, Wendy Matthews, The McClymonts, James Blundell, Phil Emmanuel as well as Mental as Anything, & Adam Brand.

 

The demand for his live music has seen him perform at some of Queensland’s most iconic events & festivals like Winton Way Out West Fest, Townsville’s Country Music Muster, Julia Creek Dirt n Dust, Beef Week Australia, Country on Keppel & Rockhampton River Festival.
